Outdoor activities

Outdoor lovers can explore the volcano through hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding, notably following the famous GR400. In winter, the mountain transforms into a white paradise for downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing.

The Plomb du Cantal , the highest point in the department (at 1,855 m), is home to the Lioran ski resort.

Several peaks will offer you unforgettable panoramas: Puy Griou, Puy Violent, Col du Prat de Bouc, Puy Chavaroche and, of course, the famous Puy Mary , a must-see site in Cantal. Its layout allows an easy ascent for the whole family, rewarded with a breathtaking view. (1 hour from the holiday village)
